Telangana CM KCR Hands Over Approvals to 19 New Units Under TS-iPASS

Telangana state Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao handed over phase-II TS-iPASS letters of approval to 19 units on Wednesday in Secretariat. The new industrial entities will come up in Rangareddy, Mahaboobnagar, Medak and Warangal districts with a total investment of Rs. 1087.37 crore and will provide employment opportunities to 5,321 individuals. From manufacturing of helicopter cabin kits, cell phones to pharmaceutical formulations, steel and iron alloy castings, footwear accessories, the new units operate in wide-ranging product developments. Among the companies that received the letters of approval today is Spanish’s Pharma giant Chemo.

Telangana Government Approves TS-iPASS to 19 New Units

The Chief Minister has interacted with the CMDs, CEOs, Chairmen and other representatives of the industrial companies and enquired about their operations after formally giving away the approval letters. The Honourable CM urged the investors to represent Telangana as its industrial ambassadors and report immediately to the CMO chasing cell of any difficulties they face in carrying out their business.

It may be recalled that while releasing the Industrial Policy – Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-certification System (TS-iPASS) – the Honourable CM KCR promised that clearances to industries would be given within 10 days after submission of applications. Accordingly, first phase of handing over of approval letters was taken up on 23 June.

Industries Minister, Sri Jupally Krishna Rao, Chief Secretary, Sri Rajeev Sharma, Principal Secretary to CM Sri Narsing Rao, Additional Principal Secretary to CM and in-charge, Chasing Cell Smt. Shanti Kumari, Secretary, Industries and Energy Sri Arvindkumar, Commissioner, Industries Sri Manik Raj and TSIIC MD, Sri Narsimha Reddy were present on the occasion.
