Pushkaram is one of the most holy festivals in India, dedicated to worshipping the sacred rivers, and the celebrations take place at the shrines along the 12 major sacred rivers in India. It is considered extremely beneficial to have a holy dip in the river where Pushkarams are being celebrated. Pushkarams arrive at each river once in 12 years, and this year the River Godavari is the sacred venue. Godavari Pushkaralu 2015 starts on 14th to 25th July, 2015 at the Temple towns of Bhadrachalam, Basara, Kaleshwaram and Dharmapuri in Telangana.
