Main Ingredients Name for Bamboo (Bongulo) Chicken

1. Ginger garlic paste-  2 spoons
2. Turmeric-1/4 spoon
3. Chilli Powder-2 spoons
4. Chicken- 1/2 Kg
5. Salt- As per the taste while we are preferring 11/2 spoons

Step by Step Process of How to Cook Bamboo Chicken (Bongulo Chicken) at Home

All the people who wish to cook and taste Bongulo Chicken also known as Bamboo Chicken are suggested to go through the following steps carefully.

Step 1: Cut the chicken into small pieces and wash them very thoroughly.

Step 2: Marinate chicken in the marinade of chilli powder, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, oil and other Indian spices so called masalas for better taste and aroma.

Step 3: Now take a bamboo stem which is empty inside and has opening only through one end, which has to be cleaned before moving on to do anything.

Step 4: Stuff this marinated chicken pieces from the bottom of the stem to top of the stem inside.

Step 5: On the top of the stem leave some space so as to close the stem with bamboo leaves.

Step 6: While stuffing the leaves imagine bamboo stem as a bottle which is filled with water(chicken) inside and close the bottle with cap(leaves of bamboo).

Step 7: Keep the stem in the campfire or grill until the bamboo stem turns into black color under a low flame of 100-degree celsius.

Step 8: Remove from fire and let it cool down for some time now open the stem and remove all chicken pieces from inside of bamboo stem.

Step 9: Garnish the cooked chicken from bamboo stem and get ready to taste the dish now.
